Ingredients

  • 1/2 bushel tomatoes
  • 15 onions
  • 15 green peppers
  • 4 red peppers
  • 4 cups brown sugar
  • 4 cups cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons allspice
  • 2 teaspoons cloves
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 4 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  1. Combine tomatoes, onions, green peppers, red peppers, and jalapeno peppers to taste in a large pot.
  2. Add brown sugar, cider vinegar, salt, allspice, cloves, and cinnamon to the mixture.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for about an hour, stirring occasionally.
  4. Taste and adjust jalapeno peppers as desired for heat.
  5. Pour hot sauce into sterilized jars and seal.
