Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb bacon
  • 2 small onions, chopped
  • 1 lb ground meat
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 No. 2 can tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • pepper to taste
  • chili powder to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the bacon, drain, and crumble.
  2. Add chopped onions and cook until browned.
  3. Add ground meat and cook until browned.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and chili powder.
  5. Add kidney beans and tomatoes, then mix well.
  6. Cover the mixture with slices of bread cut into cubes.
  7. Bake at 350°F for approximately 1 hour.
