Chinese Meat Balls feature savory ground beef mixed with cabbage and onions, seasoned with ginger and soy sauce, then shaped and fried to golden perfection, offering a flavorful bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. cabbage
  • 2 onions
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening

Instructions

  1. Preheat frypan at 300°.
  2. Put cabbage and onions through meat grinder, using coarse cutter.
  3. Combine ginger, salt, and soy sauce. Add to meat mixture.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Shape into balls about 1 to 1 1/2 inches in size.
  6. Fry in oil or shortening until done, browning well on all sides.
