Tips & Substitutions
For a nut-free version, substitute sunflower seed butter for the peanut butter. You can also use rolled oats instead of quick-cooking oats for a chewier texture. If you prefer a sweeter bar, increase the brown sugar slightly. Be sure to mix the ingredients until just combined to avoid overworking the dough, which can lead to a tough texture.
Serving Suggestions
These Chipper Bars make a great snack or dessert on their own but can be paired with a scoop of Granny'S Homemade Ice Cream for a delightful treat. Serve them alongside a warm beverage like coffee or tea for a comforting afternoon break. They are also perfect for lunchboxes or picnics.
Storage & Reheating
Store any leftover Chipper Bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, you can refrigerate them for up to a week or freeze them for up to 3 months. To reheat, simply warm in the microwave for a few seconds until just softened.
