- Combine milk chocolate, butter, and boiling water in a mixing bowl.

- Gradually add the chocolate mixture to the dry ingredients, beating for several minutes with an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
- Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla; continue beating on medium speed for 1 minute.
- Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
