- In another bowl, combine water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla.
- Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients all at once and stir just to moisten.
- Pour the batter evenly over the cherry pie filling in the prepared pan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then invert onto a serving plate and cool completely.
