Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 large box instant chocolate pudding mix

Instructions

  1. Work with your hands to combine the self-rising flour, butter, and pecans until well mixed.
  2. Press the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan to form the crust.
  3. Bake the crust at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes or until golden, then let it cool.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and confectioners sugar until smooth.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  6. Prepare the instant chocolate pudding mix according to package instructions.
  7. Spread the prepared pudding over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
