Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 3/4 cups ready to use mincemeat

Instructions

  1. Cream butter or margarine and sugar together.
  2. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  3. Add flour, baking soda, and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  4. Mix with a wooden spoon.
  5. Add mincemeat and mix until combined.
  6. Spread the batter evenly on a greased and lightly floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes. Test doneness with a toothpick.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into bars. Serve warm or cool.
