- Separate the eggs, placing yolks and whites in different bowls.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks with sugar and vanilla extract until pale and creamy.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the egg yolk mixture.
- Gently fold in the beaten egg whites until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before removing from the pan and serving.
