Ingredients

  • 9-inch unbaked pastry shell
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pastry shell and set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. In a small mixing bowl, cream the softened butter.
  4. Add the beaten eggs and vanilla to the creamed butter.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar and flour.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture, mixing well.
  7. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
  8. Pour the filling into the baked pastry shell.
  9. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until golden.
  10. Cool for 1 hour before serving.
  11. Serve warm, garnished with whipped cream.
