Ingredients

  • 1 cup soft butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups raisins
  • 12 oz chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Beat butter and both sugars in a large bowl at high speed until creamy.
  3. Add vanilla, eggs, and 1 teaspoon water; blend thoroughly.
  4. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt by hand until well mixed.
  5. Stir in raisins and chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 8 minutes.
