Instructions
- Boil chopped cabbage in salted water until very tender.
- Wilt chopped onion in butter in a skillet.
- Add chunks of Velveeta cheese to the onion and melt over low heat.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup into the cheese mixture.
- Combine the cabbage with the cheese mixture and mix well.
- Season with salt and red pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish.
- Sprinkle Italian style bread crumbs on top.
