Tips & Substitutions

For a crunchier relish, try adding a splash of lemon juice for acidity or substitute a couple of cucumbers with zucchini. If you're short on onions, use shallots for a milder flavor. To reduce the sweetness, cut down on sugar or replace half with honey. Letting the mixture rest overnight helps enhance the flavors, so don’t skip this step.

Serving Suggestions

Serve Christine's Pickle Relish as a zesty topping for sandwiches or burgers, or mix it into potato salads and deviled eggs for extra flavor. It pairs beautifully with Everyday Salad, enhancing the dish with its tangy crunch. Enjoy it alongside barbecued meats or as a vibrant addition to cheese platters.

Storage & Reheating

Store the pickle relish in sterilized jars in a cool, dark place. Once opened, keep it in the refrigerator, where it will last for up to 2 months. For best flavor, allow the relish to sit for a few days before using it, as this allows the ingredients to meld together beautifully.
