Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. seedless blackberry jam
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. Divide the batter into three greased cake layers.
  3. Bake in a 350°F oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cakes to cool before assembling and serving.
