Ingredients

  • 1 c. cider vinegar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • artificial sweetener equal to 1/2 c. sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a heavy saucepan, whisk together the vinegar, eggs, flour, mustard, salt, pepper, and 2 cups water.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened, about 6 minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in margarine and artificial sweetener.
  4. Pour into clean jars.
  5. Cover and refrigerate up to 3 months.
