Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. margarine, melted
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. margarine

Instructions

  1. Mix melted margarine with sugar.
  2. Beat in eggs.
  3. Sift flour with baking powder; add alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with flour.
  4. Spread the batter in a well buttered 9-inch square pan.
  5. Sprinkle the top with brown sugar and dot with margarine.
  6. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
  7. Bake in a 400° oven for about 30 minutes. Serve warm.
