Ingredients

  • 6 medium potatoes
  • 3 small carrots
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 tsp chicken base
  • 1 large can milk
  • 1 can minced clams
  • 1 can clam juice
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Cook potatoes, carrots, onion, celery, onion powder, and chicken base in water and boil for 30 minutes.
  2. Mash the cooked vegetables, then add milk, clam juice, and minced clams.
  3. Thicken the mixture with flour mixed in water.
  4. Simmer the chowder for 15 minutes on low heat.
  5. Top with dry parsley before serving.
