Cocktail Meatballs(Appetizer)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. corn flakes, crushed
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bottle Heinz chili sauce
  • 6 oz. grape jelly
  • juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly mix ground beef, onion, garlic, corn flakes and eggs.
  2. Season to taste.
  3. Shape into walnut size balls.
  4. Combine chili sauce, grape jelly and lemon juice in a heavy skillet. Simmer 5 minutes.
  5. Place meatballs in sauce.
  6. Cook slowly for 1 hour.
  7. Cool.
  8. Refrigerate until fat hardens and skim off.
  9. Can be frozen; reheat to serve.
