Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 3/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 (8 oz) cans Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Grease a 12-inch pizza pan or cookie sheet.
  3. In a large frying pan, brown ground beef and chopped onion.
  4. Drain well.
  5. Stir in salt, pepper, chili powder, and tomato sauce.
  6. Simmer while preparing the crust.
  7. Separate crescent dough into 16 triangles.
  8. Arrange 13 triangles around the pan in a spoke fashion, with narrow tips extending over the pan about 5 inches.
  9. Press the remaining triangles in the center of the pan.
  10. Seal the perforations.
  11. Spread the meat mixture over the dough and sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese.
  12. Bring the dough tips over the filling to the center and pinch the edges to seal.
  13. Brush the top with milk.
  14. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
