Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon
  • 3 cups croutons
  • 8 oz shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 6 slightly beaten eggs
  • 3/4 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 3 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Fry or microwave 8 slices of bacon until crisp. Crumble and set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
  3. In the bottom of a 2-quart greased glass casserole dish, place the croutons.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese over the croutons.
  5. In a bowl, combine the eggs, milk, prepared mustard, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Blend well.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the croutons and cheese in the casserole dish.
  7. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the top.
  8. Bake uncovered at 325°F (163°C) for 35 to 45 minutes until the eggs are set.
