Ingredients

  • 4 c. biscuit or white bread crumbs
  • 4 c. cornbread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1/2 c. cold sliced butter
  • 1/4 c. stock
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. sage
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Mix together the bread crumbs, cornbread crumbs, chopped onions, diced celery, salt, pepper, and sage in a large bowl.
  2. Cut the cold sliced butter into small pieces and add to the mixture, blending until evenly distributed.
  3. Add the slightly beaten eggs and stock, mixing until the ingredients are well combined and moist.
  4. Fill the turkey cavities with the mixture and proceed to bake the turkey as usual.
