Sweet and crunchy Corn Flake Bars combine toasted corn flakes, peanuts, and coconut in a caramel-like base, perfect for satisfying snack cravings or sharing at gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 3 cups corn flakes
  • 1/2 cup peanuts
  • 1/2 cup coconut

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, corn syrup, and cream in a saucepan and bring to a boil, cooking until the mixture reaches the soft ball stage at 236°F on a candy thermometer.
  2. Work quickly as you add the corn flakes, peanuts, and coconut to the hot mixture.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 8-inch square pan.
  4. Allow to cool, then cut into bars.
  5. Wrap each bar in waxed paper for storage or gifting.
