Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 3/4 cups cream-style corn
  • 1 cup water
  • pinch of ground thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
  • 1 package (8 oz.) seasoned bread stuffing
  • 3 egg yolks

Instructions

  1. Cook chopped onion and chopped celery in butter until tender.
  2. Add cream-style corn, water, salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, and ground thyme; bring to a boil.
  3. Pour the mixture over seasoned bread stuffing and mix lightly.
  4. Add egg yolks and shape the mixture into 12 balls.
  5. Place the balls in a shallow pan and pour melted butter over all.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 15 minutes until golden.
