Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons oleo
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon grated onion
  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 1 package cornbread mix

Instructions

  1. Heat the cream of chicken soup and cook the grated onion in oleo until tender.
  2. Add the cooked onion and soup mixture together.
  3. Add salt to the mixture.
  4. Cook the chicken breasts until tender, then cool and cut into cubes.
  5. Pour the soup mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle the cubed chicken over the top.
  6. Prepare the cornbread according to the package directions and spoon it over the soup and chicken mixture, covering the entire top.
  7. Bake at 325°F for 20 to 30 minutes or until the cornbread is done.
  8. Serve hot.
