Ingredients

  • 10 slices bread
  • 1/4 lb. American cheese
  • 12 oz. can corned beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 can cream of vegetable soup
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Layer the quartered bread slices in a baking dish and sprinkle the corned beef and American cheese evenly over the bread.
  2. Add the remaining bread slices on top to form a layered casserole.
  3. In a bowl, beat the egg and mix it with the milk, cream of vegetable soup, and dry mustard to make the liquid mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture evenly over the layered bread, corned beef, and cheese.
  5. Let the casserole sit for 30 minutes to absorb the liquid.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
