Ingredients

  • 2 lb. hash browns (thawed)
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 cup onions (chopped)
  • 2 (8 oz.) cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 1 stick butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, garlic salt, chopped onions, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and melted butter.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. Pour the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  6. Optional: Top with shredded cheddar cheese during the last 5 minutes of baking for extra cheesiness.
