Cottage Beef Bake

Instructions
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions.
- Drain and rinse the noodles; set aside.
- Saute ground beef in a skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
- Add tomato sauce, salt, garlic salt, and pepper to the beef; simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, sour cream, and chopped onions.
- Spray a 2-quart round casserole dish with cooking spray or Pam.
- Layer half of the noodles mixture in the bottom of the casserole dish.
- Top with half of the meat mixture over the noodles.
- Repeat layering with remaining noodles and meat mixtures.
- Sprinkle grated cheese evenly over the top.
- Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 days if preparing ahead.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
