  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. red pepper
  • 1 clove garlic

Instructions

  1. Saute onions, garlic, and bell pepper in olive oil.
  2. Add tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients (spices and seasonings).
  4. Cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add chicken.
  6. Transfer to a casserole and bake, uncovered, in a 350° oven for 45 minutes.
  7. Add soaked currants and almonds.
  8. Serve with or over rice.
  9. Can freeze.
