Delicious crabmeat crabcakes feature tender, flaky crab combined with flavorful seasonings, bread crumbs, and a crispy broiled exterior, perfect for elegant appetizers or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. crabmeat
  • 3 Tbsp. bread crumbs
  • 3/8 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 Tbsp. minced onions
  • 1 tsp. hot red pepper sauce
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • butter

Instructions

  1. Clean crabmeat and drain. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top of crab.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat mayonnaise, eggs, Dijon mustard, parsley flakes, minced onions, hot red pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper into a sauce.
  3. Fold this mixture into the crabmeat and bread crumbs.
  4. Grease a cookie sheet with butter. Scoop the mixture into ice cream scoops to form crabcakes.
  5. Place the crabcakes on the cookie sheet and put a thin slice of butter on top of each.
  6. Broil until golden brown.
