Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onion tops
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 4 cans claw or fresh lump crabmeat (26 oz.)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/4 cups Pepperidge Farm seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon Tabasco
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except crab and bread crumbs in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix well to blend all flavors.
  3. Add bread crumbs; gently mix in the crabmeat, being careful not to break up the lumps.
  4. Spoon the mixture into a greased baking dish, do not pack down.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes, covered with foil.
  6. Remove the cover and bake for an additional 10 minutes, uncovered, until lightly browned.
