Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (8 1/2 oz.) can applesauce
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1 (8 oz.) can cranberry sauce

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and eggs.
  2. Add applesauce and blend well.
  3. Thoroughly stir together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ground cloves, and nutmeg.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and blend well.
  5. Stir in oats and cranberry sauce.
  6. Spread the batter into a floured and greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan or loaf pans.
  7. Bake in a 350°F oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
  8. Cool thoroughly and place on a rack.
  9. Wrap and store for at least 1 to 2 days before serving.
  10. Serve warm or cool with Cool Whip.
