Cranberry Fruit And Nut Bread
Ingredients
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened ⓘ
- 1 1/2 c. sugar ⓘ
- 3 eggs ⓘ
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour ⓘ
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder ⓘ
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda ⓘ
- 1 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg ⓘ
- 1 1/2 c. sour cream ⓘ
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract ⓘ
- 3/4 c. chopped cranberries ⓘ
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans ⓘ
- 1/2 c. golden raisins ⓘ
- 1/3 c. chopped dried apricots ⓘ
- pecan halves and whole cranberries (for top of loaves) ⓘ
- 1 c. sifted powdered sugar (glaze) ⓘ
- 1 1/2 to 2 Tbsp. milk (glaze) ⓘ
Instructions
- Cream butter in large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt and nutmeg.
- Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
- Mix. Stir in vanilla.
- Fold in cranberries, pecans, raisins and apricots.
- Pour into two greased and floured loaf pans.
- Bake at 350° for 60 minutes.
- Cool.
- Drizzle the powdered sugar and milk mixture over loaves.
