- Melt the margarine in a saucepan.
- Add corn syrup or sugar, buttermilk or sour milk, soda, maple flavor, vanilla, and salt to the melted margarine. Stir well.
- Gradually add graham flour until a stiff dough forms.
- Press the dough into cake pans and bake at 350° to 400° F until done.
- Allow to cool, then put through a 1/4-inch Grape-Nuts screen to break into small pieces.
- Spread the broken pieces on cookie sheets and toast in a slow oven until lightly browned and crisp.
