Layered and cheesy, these flavorful nachos feature seasoned ground beef, melted cheeses, and fresh toppings, perfect for casual gatherings or game day snacking.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 12 oz Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 12 oz mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • fresh tomato or salsa, optional

Instructions

  1. Brown and drain the ground beef in a skillet.
  2. Add taco seasoning and 1 cup water to the beef.
  3. Simmer until the water is evaporated and the beef is well coated.
  4. Arrange tortilla chips on a serving platter.
  5. Spread the cooked beef evenly over the chips.
  6. Sprinkle grated cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the beef.
  7. Optional: Add fresh tomato or salsa on top.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 10 minutes.
  9. Serve immediately.
