Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 small potato, grated
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp Crisco
  • 1 can golden mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can water
  • salt, pepper, garlic to taste
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 1 jar diced pimentos

Instructions

  1. Mix together ground beef, grated potato, grated carrot, chopped onion, spices, and egg. Shape into patties.
  2. Brown the patties on both sides in Crisco in a heavy skillet. Remove patties onto a plate with paper towel to absorb grease.
  3. Add mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, water, and pimentos to the skillet. Mix well and bring the soup mixture to a slow boil.
  4. Return the patties to the skillet, top with sliced green peppers, and spoon the soup mixture over the top.
  5. Cook for 45 minutes over a simmering heat on top of the stove.
