Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 cup sliced celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can clear chicken broth
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped carrot
  • 2 cans (6 1/2 oz.) chopped clams
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. In a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the sliced celery and chopped onion; cook until the onion is tender.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the peeled and chopped potatoes and chopped carrots; cook until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Stir in the chopped clams with their juice.
  6. Season with pepper to taste and heat through.
  7. Serve hot.
