Date Batter Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. finely cut dates
  • 1/3 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. milk or water
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, flour, dates, milk, baking powder and melted butter.
  2. Place in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Sprinkle with nuts.
  4. Combine boiling water, brown sugar and butter; pour over mixture in pan. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
