Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1 cup dates, cut up
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 ounces chocolate squares

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine and sugar together.
  2. Mix eggs, flour, salt, and milk until well combined.
  3. Add chocolate, vanilla, nuts, and dates to the mixture.
  4. Grease and flour a 10 x 14-inch pan.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes.
  7. Let cool completely and cut into squares.
  8. Roll the brownies in powdered sugar before serving.
