Ingredients

  • pie shell
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter

Instructions

  1. Heat coconut, pecans, brown sugar, and butter in a saucepan, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  2. Spread the mixture in the pie shell.
  3. Bake at 450°F for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  4. Cool the pie completely.
  5. In a separate saucepan, combine remaining ingredients except whipped topping.
  6. Cook according to the pudding mix instructions for pie.
  7. Cool for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Pour the cooked filling into the pie shell.
  9. Cover the surface with plastic wrap.
  10. Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
  11. Top with whipped topping before serving.
