Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon catsup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 4 cups hot mashed potatoes

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until lightly browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Sprinkle the beef mixture with flour, salt, dry mustard, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Add water, Worcestershire sauce, and catsup to the skillet. Stir well.
  4. Cook and stir over medium heat for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  5. Serve the beef mixture over hot mashed potatoes.
