Deviled-Ham Reubens

A flavorful reuben variation featuring deviled ham, melted Muenster cheese, tangy sauerkraut, and fresh vegetables on rye bread, perfect for a hearty, savory snack or lunch.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz. pkg. Muenster cheese, sliced
  • 4 slices rye bread
  • 4 1/2 oz. can deviled ham
  • 1/4 cup sauerkraut, drained
  • butter or margarine
  • 1 tomato, cut into wedges
  • 1 small avocado, sliced

Instructions

  1. Spread butter or margarine on one side of each slice of rye bread.
  2. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  3. Layer sliced Muenster cheese, deviled ham, and drained sauerkraut on the bread.
  4. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
  5. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Serve hot with tomato wedges and sliced avocado on the side.
