Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Soften yeast in water, combine in mixing bowl the cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill seeds, salt, soda and egg to soften yeast.
  2. Add flour to form a stiff dough, beating well after each addition.
  3. Cover and let rise in warm place, 85° or 90°, until light and double in size 50 or 60 minutes.
  4. Stir down dough into well greased sheets.
  5. Make buns.
  6. I use a large empty peach can for rounds.
  7. Let buns rise and bake in 350° oven about 25 or 30 minutes.
  8. Brush hot buns with soft butter and sprinkle with salt.
