Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 4 onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp vinegar
  • 1 1/2 quarts water
  • 1 can chili beans
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper
  • 4 tbsp chili powder
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and chopped onions in a large pot.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients to the browned meat and onions.
  3. Cook over low flame for 3 hours, skimming off excess fat as needed.
  4. Serve the chili over spaghetti.
  5. Top with grated cheese and raw chopped onions.
  6. Serve with oyster crackers.
