Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 (10 oz.) can baby clams in liquid
  • 4 large potatoes, diced
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 c. heavy whipping cream
  • 1 Tbsp. corn starch

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine or butter in a deep saucepan.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook slowly until golden brown.
  3. Add canned baby clams in liquid and diced potatoes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Cook until potatoes are tender.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Slowly add milk and heavy whipping cream.
  7. Mix corn starch with a little cold milk and add to the mixture to thicken.
  8. Return to heat and cook until heated through, but do not boil.
  9. Serve immediately.
