Decadent toffee chocolate squares combine rich caramel, smooth chocolate, and crunchy nuts on a graham cracker base, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings and sharing at gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pecans or walnuts
  • graham crackers

Instructions

  1. Line a 10 x 15-inch pan with graham crackers, cut to fit (not crumbs).
  2. Simmer dark brown sugar and butter together for 3 minutes and stir well until very well mixed.
  3. Pour the sugar and butter mixture evenly over the graham crackers.
  4. Bake at 400°F for 5 minutes until bubbling.
  5. Sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips over the hot mixture to cover.
  6. Spread the melted chocolate with a knife as it melts.
  7. Sprinkle with pecans or walnuts while the chocolate is still soft.
