Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3.5 oz. can Angel Flake coconut
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Oil a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. Pour the can of crushed pineapple with juice into the prepared pan and spread evenly over the bottom.
  3. Sprinkle coconut flakes over the pineapple layer.
  4. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly on top of the coconut.
  5. Spread the yellow cake mix evenly over the brown sugar layer.
  6. Cut the butter into thin slices and dot them over the cake mix.
  7. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the butter.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
  9. Cut into squares and serve with vanilla ice cream.
