Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups flour

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • 1/2 cup powdered nondairy cream
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup butter

Instructions

  1. Mix 1 1/4 cups flour and 1 teaspoon salt in a bowl; cut in shortening until the mixture is crumbly.
  2. Add shredded Cheddar cheese to the mixture and combine.
  3. Sprinkle ice water over the mixture; stir gently and shape into a ball.
  4. Roll the pastry dough into a 15-inch circle on a floured surface.
  5. Place the rolled dough on a pizza pan, turning up the edges to form a crust.
