Ingredients

  • 2 lb. stewing beef
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1 c. stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 c. carrot, chopped
  • 1/2 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Dredge the beef in flour and brown it in a Dutch oven.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients to the Dutch oven.
  3. Cook slowly on low heat for about 3 hours.
  4. Thicken the gravy if necessary before serving.
