Ingredients

  • 2 qt. cut and peeled tomatoes
  • 1 lb. ground round
  • 1 qt. quartered potatoes
  • 4 large onions
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 5 large carrots

Instructions

  1. Brown ground round steak in a skillet with 2 tablespoons oil.
  2. Place all other ingredients in a 1-gallon steel cooker.
  3. Add browned meat to the cooker and bring to a full boil.
  4. Turn down the fire to simmer.
  5. Cook for 1 hour.
  6. Stir 4 times during cooking.
