Easy Baklava
Delicate layers of filo filled with spiced walnuts, baked until golden, then soaked in honey for a sweet, nutty dessert perfect for special occasions or gatherings.

- Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with 8 sheets of filo, buttering each sheet.
- Sprinkle some nuts over the filo, then build up layers of a single sheet of filo (buttered), sprinkle with nuts, etc., reserving 8 sheets for the top layers.
- Score the assembled baklava with a very sharp knife in a diamond pattern (or squares).
- Bake at 375°F for 35 to 45 minutes, or until nicely browned.
- Remove from oven; immediately pour honey over the baklava.
- Allow to cool, then store in an airtight container.
